We made our yearly trip to Casa Ybel, our timeshare on Sanibel Island. Our friends, Chris and Ken White joined us again this year for the Labor Day weekend. The resort has fully recovered from Hurricane Charley in 2004. The same cannot be said of Sanibel and Captiva, where the tree canopy will take years to grow back. The beaches are in good shape.

In addition to the pictures, here are a couple of pelican movies that I took. Not as steady as I'd like to be, but my current camera does a much better job on movies than my previous one. These are large files so only view them if you have a broadband connection.
