July 27: Denali National Park to Tok, AK

334 Miles

No pictures from the trip today. We left the Denali Sourdough Cabins where we spent the night after our trip through the Park at about 9:30am. We had breakfast and then said goodbye to Jane, Janice, Terry, and Mark who were driving back to Anchorage for flights back to Austin and Houston later in the day.

Tom and I rode together most of the way to Tok. The roads varied from acceptable to excellent and we made good time. The scenery varied from mountains to high plains to tundra. Not really much of interest in Tok except for the juncture of the Alaska Highway with another main highway.

Tomorrow we enter Canada and plan to spend the night in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. Tom, Charlie, and Clif came this way on the trip up. There was a lot of construction, mud, and dust so we'll have 400 difficult miles to navigate. Can't say that I'm looking forward to it.
